Needle felted paintings are created using a backing of fabric, or wet felted wool. I most often use craft felt.Wool fibers are applied using a barbed needle. Inspired by the animal kingdom my paintings aim to give the viewer that warm fuzzy feeling, like being wrapped in a wooly hug. I try to capture the character of the animal, the focus being the eyes. I love the way the wool fibers add texture and depth to the pieces.
